Well folks, we were 43 qualified signatures short of the 1,000 required. Therefore I will not appear on the ballot.
Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and a special thanks to the small dedicated group of signature collectors -- we wouldn't have been close without you.
I told my family that this would be my last Congressional attempt, and now that promise is in black and white. In the coming years I hope to work to make the ballot more accessible for independent candidates and make voting more accessible for all registered voters. But not another Congressional run.
